Preventing Home Fires

General Recommendations
fire damage
There are some recommendations that can significantly reduce fire damage in the home, and also decrease the risk of injury if a fire occurs:

Install a smoke detector alarm on each floor of the house. Try it at least twice a year. Test the detector battery once a month, never remove it for use elsewhere, and replace once a year. Renew the detector every 10 years. These detectors double the survival statistics in case of fire.

Have a fire extinguisher, how to use it, and practice using it. The correct use of fire extinguisher consists of four steps:

  1. Pull the safety lock
  2. Aim at base of fire
  3. Pulling the trigger
  4. Move the jet from side to side and back and forth

If you use electric heaters, place it at least 1 meter away from combustible material, do not use extension cords unless absolutely necessary (in those cases, keep them unfolded and cover them with rugs or other items) not to use them to dry clothes or shoes.

Do not place or store plastic utensils above the oven.
Do not use long-sleeved clothing when cooking. They can catch fire, or dump containers and cause burns.
Keep lighters and matches out of reach of children. Do not stimulate their curiosity about these items.
When emptying ashtrays, double check the contents are off.
When possible, use fabric with fire resistant materials. Always check the upholstery after they have sat smoking. Do not put ashtrays in the armrests.
damage restoration
No smoking on the bed. This is a major cause of death from fires at home.
Zoom stoves at least 1 meter from the bed. Do not dry clothes or shoes on them.
When buying clothes, opt for fire resistant materials like 100% polyester, nylon, wool or silk.

For the same reasons as above, prefer clothing that should not be removed by the head. The speed to take off their clothes on fire reduces the severity of the injury.

Take special precautions when storing flammable liquids such as gasoline, acetone, benzene, alcohol, turpentine, contact cement and kerosene. The most dangerous is gasoline.
Teach these measures to all who live in the house to prevent fire damage.

How To Choose Good Shoes

dance shoes
The feet is the most abused part of the body and yet receives less attention compared to other parts. If not for our feet, it will be hard for us to walk and do our daily, normal activities. We may think that we are already taking good care of our foot by buying and wearing shoes. However that is not enough. We need to buy shoes that are the perfect fit and are comfortable.

The toes should have sufficient space and freedom of movement inside the shoe. Most people have one foot wider than the other, if appropriate; try on the shoe on that foot so you can choose either the corresponding number. In addition, you must stand, since in this position the foot widens.

The front should be flexible: a good shoe should bend as the foot when walking through the joints of the toes.

The seams and joints should be well finished and be watertight.

The shoe should be of a material that facilitates transpiration (eg leather).

The heel should not be very high (about two 3 cm, especially if they are shoes that will be used daily and all day). Walk into the store with the shoes to make sure they fit well and not be uncomfortable.

The sole should provide a firm base to prevent slipping. Thick soles cushion the impact when walking on hard surfaces. The front should be slightly raised to facilitate walking. In addition, the heel should be beveled.

jive shoes
The lining should be firm yet soft for better foot support and also present no seams to dig or cause chafing.

The insoles have to be breathable. It is advisable that renewed periodically.

The heel area should be subject, but loosely. This avoids the shoe when walking up and down. The buttress helps stability.

Finally, choose the type of shoes depending on how you plan to use. No abuse of athletic footwear.

How To Remove Mildew Stains On The Tiles

Great care when cleaning the bathroom is essential to prevent the formation of mildew stains and mold remediation that are anything but unsightly. Further, these mildew stains almost always thrive in between fissures and in between tile lines, making the task more tedious.

mold removal
Mold growth occurs mainly in the joints of the tiles near the shower or bath. This generation is due to moisture accumulation in porous areas of the walls or where water accumulates in the joints of bathtubs. Usually, these areas are hard to reach and one may need to use a small yet sturdy brush.

One way to prevent the formation of mildew on the bathroom tiles is to keep it dry and well ventilated continuously. As they say, prevention is always the best way to go. However, one cannot really permanently avoid mold growth, so in the event that you are experiencing this nuisance, here some steps to help you eradicate mold from your tiles.

If you do not have a specific product to remove mildew stains on the boards of the tiles we can proceed as follows:

Grate a little soap thick into a dipper or cupl, use laundry soap rather than bath soap.
Mix two tablespoons in a cup of soap with an alcohol.

Rub this preparation with a toothbrush or a similar type of brush on joints of tiles to remove mildew stains .

Another alternative would be:

Mix ¼ to ½ gallon of bleach with water and place in container with spout sprayer.
Drizzle the dressing over mildew stains and let stand 5 minutes.
Finally rub with a sponge soaked with the mixture.
It would also be best to rub the mildew away with a toothbrush.
Rinse or flush with a cloth or screen and water.
After removing mildew stains is to use a seam sealer that will make the water slide water damage clean up and causing microorganisms from entering.
